The Harrods Department Store was launched in 1834, and it has over 180 years of history. At the beginning it only has 2 assistants and 1 messenger and nowadays it has over 5,000 staff. The life of the founder Charles Henry Harrod is very legendary.

Harrods is London's most well-known department store and it covers an area of 5 hectares. It has over 330 sales department and is the largest department store in the UK. It has installed the first escalator in 1898 and it offers Brandy to customers taking escalator at that time to reduce their nervousness when taking the escalator.

Harrods exterior and interior are both very famous and they have attracted a large number of tourist to visit. The most famous is the Egyptian area on the two sides of the escalators that was built in 1997. There are various sculptures with characters such as Pharaoh, Egyptian demon and Sphinx. The department store was sold to the Fayed family in 1985 and Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed was in love and they both died in a car accident in 1997. Therefore, Harrods has established a monument and in 2005, it has launched a statue known as "Innocent Victims" and it is now a must visit place for tourists.

The must visit area is the food hall. In addition to the supermarket and the food hall selling various food products, you can sit down at the restaurant. It also sells its own biscuits, candies, tea leaves, chocolate, and desserts, which you can buy as souvenirs.

Harrods has a wide variety of products. Apart from food, you can purchase the bear soft toy, bags, mugs, etc. Everyone will definitely like those products.
