When visiting the Versailles, apart from the Château de Versailles, you should also visit the Jardin et parc de Versailles. The garden covers over 100 hectares and has over 1,400 fountains and a lot of statutes. It also has an artificially made canal of 1.6 km long.

At your first glance, you will see a lot of symmetrical pathways in the garden. All the trees are maintained in the same way. The Apollo Fountain in front of the canal is the masterpiece of the garden and the fountain has displayed statue of Apollo riding a carriage all the way through the ocean and into the sky.

There are many ways for you to explore the garden. You can walk, take small train, golf cart, Segway, ride bicycle or even rowing a boat. The most inexpensive way is to walk around the area. However, since the entire area is too big, so you can only select a few points to visit. You can even lay on the grass and have a picnic there.

If you want to experience all the famous sightseeing spots at once, you should take the Little Train. There are four stations: Château, Grand Canel, Grand Trianon and Petit Trianon. In addition, you can also order the headphone so you can learn about the history of Versailles.

If you do not like taking the small train, you can ride bicycle. You can get the bicycle from one place and then return at another place. If you have an international driver's license, you can rent a golf cart around the area. Despite that it can be expensive, you can easily reach all the destinations quickly and there are some audio equipment that you can find on the car to introduce the area. A golf cart can accommodate 4 persons and it fits a family perfectly.

Another choice is to take Segway and travel around the palace in 2 hours. You can even row a boat but you may not be able to tour the entire area, but many people do like this option.

The Versailles Gardens cover more than 100 hectares and you can see it from the Palace of Versailles.
