There are three types of ramen in Hokkaido – namely soy sauce, miso and salty. Sapporo is the origin of the miso ramen, and the Keyaki Ramen located at the nightlife district is one of the top rated miso ramen shops of the city.
The soup base is cooked using pork, fresh chicken, vegetables and three types of miso. When the ramen is served you can see a layer of oil on top of the ramen, which helps to enhance the smell of the ramen as well as keeping the hotness of the ramen especially during the cold weather. The ramen together with cabbage and onion further enhances the taste of it and balance well against the soup base.
You can select different accessories to add on the ramen, such as corn, butter, pork, and onion. Since the soup base is quite strong so adding these accessories really enhance the overall taste.
