When visiting Ishikawa, you must visit the Ohmi Cho Market near the city center. This market has been reputed as the "Kitchen of Ishikawa", and has over 300 years of history with over 200 shops selling different items. Thus, this place has attracted many locals and tourists.
There are many different snack shops you can find inside the market. For example, the Mountain Sushi is selling a sushi bowl at 2,700 Yen, and it includes sushi created from 18 types of seafood such as salmon seeds, sea urchins, shellfish, toro, sweet shrimp and so on. In addition, a thin layer of gold foil will be added to the dish and thus making it much more valuable.
If you do not like to have the sushi bowl, perhaps you can visit other sashimi shops in the market which provides fresh sashimi, sea urchins, toro, crab meats and scallops, etc. In addition, you can find shops selling vegetables and fruits, meats and dumplings as well as accessories. Perhaps you can spend a couple of hours there.
Even though the official website listed that the mall is closed on Sunday, but we notice that over 70% of the shops there are still opening on Sunday.
