Another special VR facility has arrived in Tokyo. The VR Gaming Place "VR ZONE SHINJUKU" was launched by Bandai Namco on July 14, 2017. The VR ZONE SHINJUKU is situated near the Gracery Hotel in Shunjuku's Kabukicho area, and is currently the largest VR Gaming Place in Japan.
The facility has an area of 3,500 meters square and has over 15 VR games. Those VR games are built in the themes of New Century Evangelion, Dragon Ball, Gundam and Mario Racing. In addition, you can also experience games about fishing, war, Jurassic Park and walking in high altitude, etc. There is also a VR resort located on 1/F, which uses VR technology and some real props in creating different scenes such as rock climbing and jumping over the water fall, etc.
Of special note is that you should reserve your seat online through its official website or using the mobile application so that you will be able to go inside upon arrival. Otherwise, there is simply no chance of being able to purchase the tickets and walk in right away.
